I started sewing clothing when I was about 14. I sewed almost exclusively clothing. When I had my kids, I loved sewing for them. When they were grown and didn't need prom dresses, etc., I decided one day while in a sewing shop to take a quilt class. That was about 18 years ago and I have been hooked since then. I guess it appeals to me so much because I love math. My dad bought my first sewing machine after we went to a Home Show and I won a $50 gift certificate for a machine. It was a White and I just was in love with it. Since leaving my parents, it seems like there is always a project (or 10) on a table, on a chair, on the floor. But now I have my own sewing room!!
