I've been knitting over 50 years - my mom taught me. I put it away for a few years, but came back to it with a vengence about 8 years ago and haven't looked back. I took classes in Milwaukee and learned a whole bunch of new techniques that I now teach at my local yarn shop. The sweater I'm wearing in my picture (taken at the Cliffs of Moor, Ireland) is the Aran Duffle Coat from Interweave Knits that I made specifically for my trip. I'm a member of the South Carolina Knitting Guild and encourage my fellow members to take classes, watch DVDs, buy books, etc. to expand their skills. I've signed up for several Craftsy classes which are excellent teaching platforms.
I'm also a sewist since 7th grade and a member of Single Action Shooters Society which gives me the opportunity to sew "cowboy/cowgirl" garments as well as dress-up Victorian ensembles.
I'm originally from Milwaukee and am a proud Cheesehead and Packer fan.
