In primary school I started knitting and embroidery (aged 9 years). I then took up dressmaking when I was a teenager making my own clothes. Shortly after my marriage in 1969 I made my first quilt, hand sewn with hexagonal pieces. I found cardmaking on a TV channel when I was recovering from cancer about 6 years ago and then took up quilting again shortly after. I find it relaxing, creative and gives me so much pleasure.
