I have spent countless hours at stores admiring the latest fashions, but not always having the money to purchase all I wanted. I have always had a desire to learn to make jewelry. Two years ago I registered for my first jewelry class at the local community college and the rest is history, I absolutely loved it. I could not get enough practice time in with working and other life responsibilities. This caused me to stay up many late nights for practice time. For each semester thereafter I registered for one or two class to increase my knowledge. As I learned various techniques and created pieces, I would mail a large package of jewelry to my two daughters and five granddaughters in hopes of some sort of feedback for their opinion. Well that didn't help much because they only like their (Fad) style of jewelry only. I now have more confidence in my techniques and understanding the terminology, have better control of tools, I am now ready for stepping up to the next level. Hopefully next year I will also be ready to try a few home parties or even an Art Fair or perhaps selling online. Only time will tell where jewerly making will lead.
