Back in 2002, I was working 40 hours a week and going to college full-time. I was living in a new town and was on my own for the first time. I met a couple of really wonderful women who knit and crocheted. I saw the wonderful projects that they created, and decided that, despite my busy schedule, I wanted to learn too! Unfortunately, I only had time to learn how to crochet, but that started my love of creating things! A few years later, I had once again moved to a new town and my love of crochet was instrumental in my meeting some of the best friends of my life. My mother and I decided to take a class together on knitting, then my new friends encouraged my new skill! Now, I usually create toys with crochet, because I can make really wonderful, simple toys in a matter of days. Knitting I reserve for clothing items, as I prefer the way this looks.
