The mother of a friend taught me to knit when I was about 8, and I still seem to love most of the things I loved as a child--although others, such as gardening, have been added along the way. I love to knit in the quiet of the early morning before the events of the day take over, and to have a simple project to take along to meetings or as a passenger in the car.
