My mum taught me to knit when I was about 10. I begged and begged for wool for a sweater I wanted to make, but she wanted me to start small... Like a scarf. She eventually gave in but was positive I'd lose interest before I finished, but I worked away and finished it in about a month and a half. I never looked back after that!
