My mum taught me to knit when I was about 7. I begged and begged for wool for a sweater I wanted to make, but she wanted me to start small... Like a scarf. She eventually gave in but was positive I'd lose interest before I finished, but I worked away and finished it in about a month and a half. I never looked back after that! Always loved making things..... Knitting, crocheting, stained glass, sewing, ceramics, bird carving, dabbled in water colors, quilting.... I have upholstered furniture, done woodworking, and built a cabin last summer with my husband. You can't call that a craft, technically... But it was definitely a DIY project for both of us as unskilled builders!
