I loved visiting the fabric shop. When I got older, I would make dolls and other craft items and really loved it. When I would watch her sew and admire the quilts she made, I just didn't have the desire to make quilts. I loved them, just wasn't bit (yet). One day she told me I should just make one, even a small quilt. I chose the Bears Paw, made a very small block, well, 12 of them and gave them to my sister to finish. She can do anything. When i got the finished quilt back, I was bit by the quilt bug HARD!!!! I fell in love and now I dream quilts. Its a wonderful craft I hope to pass on down to my daughter.
