My mum taught me to knit when I was 5 - I have early memories of sitting with a skein around my wrists while she wound it into a ball. I had a big imagination though and I suppose got interested in other things until I was older. When I was 21, I found myself at a houseparty, and one of the girls there had a bag of knitting. I thought it was so cool, I made her remind me there and then, and since that evening I?ve been hooked. I love the whole process of buying a ball of yarn and turning it into a beautiful garment.
I?ve been blogging since 2008 about life, art and things I have been making and selling, and I have been designing for the last couple of years. I trained in pattern cutting and dressmaking and found that the skills I learnt developed into an urge to design knitwear.
I?m currently putting patterns together my first book, some of which you can buy here or on my website. I also have a Ravelry group where people can share pictures of my designs, I would love for you to join!
