I started sewing when I was 8 yrs old by doing hand embroidery. By the time I was 13 I purchased my first sewing machine and started making some clothes for myself. When I had my son I would sew his clothes and make some household items like curtains etc. My first quilt was a machine appliquéd for his crib. As most people know when you work and have a family you don't have a lot of extra time. So sewing and quilting got put on the back burner until about 10 years ago, when I started quilting again. Since then I've completed a lot of quilts and built up my stash. Now I'm ready to learn new techniques and take on new challenges. That is the reason I joined the craftsy website.
