I have sewn clothing since I was in high school, mostly with the help of my mother and home ec classes. I took a quilting class in the mid-70's but never actually put the quilt squares into a quilt! When my kids were young, I did a lot of sewing of mainly clothes for them and myself, curtains, etc. Then for the next 20 years I worked & commuted and didn't have much time for sewing/crafting. I kept promising myself that as soon as I retired, I would learn how to quilt! Well the time finally came--in January 2011 I took a class and fell in love! Now I have so much to learn and so many quilts to make! And fortunately my husband is soooo supportive!
