I started sewing with my mother in 4-H, learned all kinds of crafts from her, grandmother taught me to crochet (which I have to relearn now), and sewed all my own clothes through college. I then tried learning quilting 25 years ago when my kids were babies with Eleanor Burns, but teaching got in my way for some years. I just started taking quilting classes a few years ago and just exhibited at the state fair my first large quilt and received a blue ribbon and a Best of Show in my category (there were 6 quilts picked from all the blue ribbons and mine was one of the 6!)I am excited now that my first king-size quilt is finished, and I look forward to learning all I can about quilting!
