My first sewing project in Home Ec was a lined corduroy sports jacket for my dad. And he even was able to wear it!!
As a nurse I ran in to friends, family and patients that had special clothing and accessory needs, so I needed to learn some pattern adjustment techniques and how to develop some patterns of my own.

Now, in retirement, I love to make clothes for my grandkids and charities. I have made special embroidered tote bags for a children's cancer camp, altered clothing for wounded soldiers, made christmas gift bags for a local fostercare/adoption agency and about every kind of blanket/tote/baby item for everyone I know.
