I enrolled in a class when my daughter was 8 and creating big messes with yarn, mostly finger-woven, skinny tubular fabric. I suggested we take a class so we could make something useful. She ran around the store for three Saturday mornings, and I learned to knit. Fast forward a decade. My girl finally figured out sticks and string, and I work at Craftsy ... which is like a Saturday morning class that never ends.
