I learned to dress make at school back in the 60's and made all my own clothes including my wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses. I continued for many years and I made lots of things for my children including winter coats. I stopped sewing, except for making curtains and blinds when the children no longer wanted home made clothes and when we got a bit more affluent! I started again a few years ago and just love it. I have a granddaughter who loves me to sew pretty dresses and this year I have made her 2 winter coats. I recently started quilting and made the carpenter's star which I am very proud of.
