From a young age my mother taught me how to crochet, embroidery and scrap quilt. I later learned knitting, needlepoint, and cross stitch (In the 1980's I worked for Sunset Designs doing cross stitches to be featured in pictures on their kits), I am finally learning that their are many types of quilts and I am enjoying learning how to do things other then just scrap quilts.
I am mother to 5 and grandmother to 10 wonderful grandchildren, most who live to far away. I enjoy being able to watch my 4 year old granddaughter daily. If I work on a craft for anyone other then her she wants me to then make the same thing for her.
I have been married for 38 years to my high school sweetheart. We have lived in 18 homes, 8 cities (some more then once), and in 5 states (California - twice, Colorado, Tennessee, Georgia and currently live in Texas). My husband works in the computer world working on an old computer called the VAX. Downsizes and buy outs have always sent us wherever the next job is.
I have home schooled 3 of my 5 children and am currently home schooling my youngest who is a Freshman in High School.
