I thought I had this done, but it must have been snatched away before it was saved. I am an old lady who is determined to learn this method of paper pieceing. Who determined that you can't teach an old dog new tricks. I intend to prove that you can. I started quilting probably about 20 years ago. I can remember Mom having a Lady's Aid Meeting at our house and the quilt was on those long quilt frame boards. When the business meeting was over, the ladies took seats around the quilt and had a regular quilting bee -- and I was allowed to hand quilt also, so I've been interested in quilting since I was a child. but with my husband and I working and raising 6 kids, there just wasn't time (I thought). I also crochet, knit, machine embroider, I was really enjoying counted cross-stitch, making lavender and lace angels for grand daughters when they graduated from high school -- Made about equal pictures with wolves and eagles for the grand sons. But my old eyes gave out on me and I could no longer see the individual holes in the 22 count fabric. So the grand kids have all received quilts. We have 16 grand kids and 4 great grand kids.
I am a retired RN, and my husband was a retired captain on the City Fire Department. My husband passed on this month, so I'm learning a new state in life -- one I never aspired to. My crafts of quilting and machine embroidery are keeping me sane.
