In high school I used to make corsages for Christmas and sell them. After hi school I worked for a major dept store in their interior design dept making some store displayed among other things. I started sewing clothes in the beginning of hi school.. (not home ec) Never took a class. I asked my mother to teach me and she told me :buy a pattern and follow the directions. I started sewing clothes in the beginning of hi school.. (not home ec) Never took a class. I asked my mother to teach me and she told me :buy a pattern and follow the directions. I started to learn to quilt in my 60's. Love to try - as yet not very good. But I will keep trying. Now we are retired and move around a bit in our 5th wheel. So my major stash is in my house and carry as much possible in our trailer. Try to find quilt shops on our travels. It has been an adventure.. Do what I can in a small space.
