I started crafting at about the same time I learned to walk. I literally learned at my grandmother and mother's knee. For the next 40 years of my life I devoted myself to needle arts (stump work, embroidery etc). During these years I toyed at other crafts, but only as a hobby. Now that I'm a grandma (we have 4 granddaughters and a surprise due in October of 2012) I find that I want to learn more about some of the things that I am enjoying like quilting and knitting. I spin and weave, quilt, knit and crochet. I love to dye fabric/yarn/fiber and I find that I have a pretty good hand at beading too!
I've found this site satisfies so many of my new found outlets of creativity!
