I started crafting as a very young child. I learned how to sew by the age of 10 and from that point on I made all of my own clothes. I also made all the clothes of my children until they became teenagers and informed me that they wouldn't wear homemade clothes anymore.
I made my first quilt at age 16. I didn't start out with a small project. My very first quilt was a full size quilt made from pink gingham. It had scalloped edges and a quilted rose pattern which I quilted by hand.
I have also tried my hand at carding, spinning, dying and weaving wool, macrame, needlepoint, cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, crocheting, paper crafts such as card making and scrapbook pages, also stamping.
I have even copyrighted a pattern for mice which were made using baby food jars.
Currently I am very much involved in cross stitching with four projects in the works.
