My mom taught me embroidery when I was a child...oh so many years ago!...and I've been sewing home decorating projects and clothes since my first Home Ec class in school. Ventured into counted cross stitch and have done probably hundreds of pieces on my commutes back and forth to work. Then came my decorative painting phase - loved that. Stained glass - more classes - loved that too. Took a quilting class - but immediately forgot everything I learned. Not to be discouraged though....I've thrown myself into collecting for my stash with the hope that one of these days I'll figure out what to do with it all! I've started a few projects but there's always something that holds me back.....so along with my stash, I'm also collecting unfinished projects, but we won't go there!
I was so excited to see my world being opened up by Craftsy classes. I'm pretty sure I'll find everything I'll need to be inspired to venture into quilting with fibers and fabric painting and tapping into my creative side...and, who knows?...maybe I'll actullly even get some of my projects finished!
I so look forward to meeting my co-Crafty artists. This seems to be a great place to meet!
I have already met a wonderful woman while searching out fibers for class....Her name is Heather Reid, she is a fiber artist (published in Quiling Arts), has a huge stash of fiber goodies and is sharing her fiber wealth with others with an Ebay business. Please check her out. I can't wait to receive my order from my new friend, Heather.
Here's a couple of links to Heather:
