I've been sewing for most of my life. My mother sewed and crocheted beautifully and I wanted to be just like her. She taught me to sew and we had a great system: I did all the machine work, she did the cutting and hand work. Being left-handed, I had to teach myself to crochet, so I am proud of that.

As life got busier, I rarely sewed, but I missed it terribly, Craftsy's BOM class has helped me work sewing into my busy schedule - I am a mother of 4 and a high school math and science teacher. I get frustrated because I'm not as fast or as good as I used to be. With time and classes, I'll improve.
