I have been quilting for over 25 years. After attending a Baltimore Album applique class, based on Elly Sienkiewicz's first book. I became totally hooked on applique and quilting and combining the two techniques after that class as prior to that, my focus was on patchwork piecing. The Craftsy venue is wonderful for me as I am inclined to be a solitary quilter. I have attended quilt shows with my best quilting friend and thoroughly enjoyed myself, but find I get inspired sometimes in the middle of the night and I fire up the sewing machine and my laptop and have my fav Craftsy class going while quilting.
My projects vary as do my interests. Right now, I am completing a junior bed quilt for my niece's 2 year old so when she "graduates" from her crib, she will have a lovely quilt to have sweet dreams under. I'm also making an art quilt, based upon an inspiration from a photo I received showing St. Therese of Liseux's girlhood home and church in France. This has been more a work in my imagination until now as I am not one to have too many quilts going at one time. More to follow as I progress.
That is "me" and as I said before, I'm happy to be a member of Craftsy.
