My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was 5 yrs old. Although I don't actually remember 'lessons,' she later taught me to knit & embroider teatowels & pillow cases. We helped her to make many items for the church bazaar: scarves, 'bedjackets,' shawls, tea towels, pillowcases. etc. I didn't do much during highschool & university, but picked up cross-stitch in the 80's.
