Well by now most have read the old bio stuff from years ago and now I felt it was time to forget the past even though it is part of me . I now have opened a new chapter in my life with a move to the desert, a new home and a new career selling my own designs on etsy. I get up to fruit, coffee and a kiss from my most enthusiastic partner, David my hubby.
I then look over my projects to see what isn't finished and what needs to be and then listed. I then get some sun in the courtyard of our desert home in AZ, do a few pushups, work on my biceps, leg lifts or walk a mile before the sun hits 110 degrees or more. Then it's time to hit the studio running. It is a converted walk-in closet with my designs hanging on one side and my tools on the other with my two machines neatly placed on a nice table David built for me out of some Home Depot supplies and lots of loving care. It is really cool but small and that's okay cuz it works for me.
Out in the courtyard sits a 99 gallon locker filled with modal knits, cottons, silks, linens, blended knits ( not very much) chiffon, satins and other fabric purchased from my LA supplier. The other one contains over 500 skeins of yarn waiting to be sold on etsy at stashnstuff. That's right! SOLD! I don't do well with sticks and string. It was a big mistake to buy so much yarn. I am a sew-er not a knitter or a hook-er. It took about a year of buying it to figure that out. My etsy shop is open now and I hope that some of my dear followers here at craftsy will come by and check out what I have there besides what is posted here. I really need to hear from my dear friends at craftsy to see what needs to be put on sale and what needs to go away.
I have made many friends through my membership on this site. And have been encouraged by a few who have stopped in to let their presence be known through etsy's stats. I can tell who comes from craftsy, ebay, a search engine or anywhere else they might have found me. It is very cool. I am having fun but will have even more fun when some of the 40+ things I made over the past three months begin to fly off the pages of my shop.
Now that I have a shop on etsy, I want to sell my handmade eco clothing and some yarn creations. So come on by and check it out at:
