I was inspired to learn to knit when my neice (then 8 or 9) was knitting up a storm, having learned in school. Then one day I wandered through Forever Yarn in Doylestown, PA where I was completely mesmerized by all the beautiful yarns. I signed up for beginning knitting. Then one day I wandered through Forever Yarn in Doylestown, PA where I was completely mesmerized by all the beautiful yarns. I signed up for beginning knitting. At the hands of Yan Qian and all the great knitters at this shop, I began knitting and have not looked back since.
I did sew as a kid, and am doing so again. I think these two skills go hand in hand (Ha!).
I think my very favorite things to knit these days are lace shawls. I also have been working with Nuno felting, which is a departure from traditional knitting, but a wonderful craft form.
