I was taught to crochet when I was young, 2nd grade or so, by a lady we called Granny, even though she wasn't our Granny. I spent many hours over at her house. I don't remember how much she taught me and how much I just learned on my own as I went along because we moved when I was in 3rd grade and I don't remember anyone else teaching me.
