I took a quilting class before either of my grown sons were born. This means there were no rotary cutters, no mats. The easiest way to cut a strip was to rip the fabric! I loved quilting but work and kids got in the way. After my boys left home, I started quilting again. I watched all the televised quilting shows I could find to get caught up with the latest trends and tools. I fell in love all over again. All the new grandbabies in my family got baby quilts. I also started doing wall hanging quilts. Love that too. My whole family has at least one quilt to hang on the wall. I have visions of them hanging them up before I visit - haha. I am now retired and have my own sewing room (my niece calls it my creation studio) and lots of time to take online classes and continue to practice the craft I love.
