Until recently, my sewing experience had been limited to high school home economics (over 40 years ago!) and a few decorative pillows for which I used my mother's 1950's Singer Featherweight - still a work horse and a beauty, but limiting. In 2008 I purchased a new sewing machine with about 35 built-in stitches, soon learning that I could use a whole lot more!
I started taking online classes and love modern quilting and other fabric arts. I would like to learn more about incorporating photography into fabric pieces. I also dabble in stamping cards, making coasters with travertine tiles and photos I have taken, and love to hunt for old objects that can be brought back to life or re-purposed.
