So, we took a drive to the local craft store and he suggested painting... but unfortunately, I cannot paint to save my life. When I was younger, I crocheted for about two seconds, but it never stuck. He suggested learning how to knit then. I always wanted to, but when I tried I got frustrated and confused. He found me this awesome book with pictures of REAL hands in it. It made such a difference! Ever since then, I have joined the ranks of my grandmother and 3 aunts in the knitting world. I'm still learning every time I do a project and there are so many things I want to knit!
