It wasn't until my teenage years that I made more complicated projects. I must admit, I was a crocher then and thought that knitting was boring! I did crochet a lot in my teenage years and made vests that I wore to school. I had several people ask me to make vests for them. I charged $5. The yarn cost me no more than $,2 and I could make 2 out of the two skiens, so I generally made about $3 on each that I made and sold. I even did vests for some of the faculty, too. I hade a nice cottage industry for my Junior year in High School.
Now I'm much older and have gained more knowledge, including that knittins is NOT boring! I rarely crochet these days, and I absolutely love to knit!
