I needed something to take my mind of things since my Partner passed away in July 2010! I tried a few things but nothing seemed to work! A friend of mine said to have a go at sewing! So I did and after a few weeks of hand sewing and liking it, I got a sewing machine as a gift from my parents in Sept 2011. So I made a few gifts for my friends and family for Christmas which gave me great joy! Im keeping my sewing projects simple until I get more confident, but Im pleased that so far Ive made cushion covers, blankets, table clothes, napkins, napkin rings, shopper bags and aprons! Best thing of all is that my 4 yr old daughter has taking a keen interest in sewing and Im helping her to make a pencil case for when she goes to big school in Sept 2012 : ) Now I just need to figure out how to put in a zip!!
