My username is FaireAttention on Ravelry and my website is katydidknitwear.blogspot.com Before learning to knit I studied fine arts and enjoyed a variety of crafts. I think a lot of my color choices and design ideas stem from the basic principles of art and design. I learned to knit when I was 18 and I have always been interested in designing my own patterns. But I never had quite the skill set to easily put a design into pattern format. Over the last 3.5 years I have been working on improving my knitting skills and learning about pattern writing. Now I am able to confidently put my designs into pattern form for other knitters to enjoy. When I am not knitting or designing I am a stay-at-home Mom of two children; my daughter Gwen (5.5 yrs old) and my son Henry (23 months).
