Hi, I have always done some sort of craft work over the years but changed to quilting after going to a symposium while I was still working 4yrs later lots of fat quarters (i still have some of them)but now buy larger pieces. I started classes when retired from work to learn different techniques to find where my talents were leading me I now design my own quilts mostly applique hand fusing collage 3D etc .I also love free motion quilting and teach anyone who wants to learn I have 4 machines an old Bernina for classes a Pfaff.which also embroiders as well a Brother Inovis 6000 emb great machine ,Grand quilter which I use for quilting plus straight stitching,I may even use all the machines on on one quilt at times. I run a quilting group of 22 and we make for charities plus learn from each other when funds allow we get a tutor in usually once a year .I am also an orchid grower and have several different genera plus a large garden to look after.
