I started knitting as a child, picked it up again in high school, and then rediscovered it after retirement. I have two gorgeous grandsons and delight in knitting and sewing for them, but my main focus is knitting for charity. I have been knitting for a local at risk teen shelter for about five years, meeting their needs both fashionably and warmly! I love feedback from the teens. I would rather they told me what they will wear, than stash it in a book bag. I have been married for 37 years to my childhood sweetheart (and my sometime model for guy's patterns!), and live in the heart of the Cascade Mountains in Washington State. I hope to one day learn to crochet, but knitting, sewing and quilting seem to be taking all of my time right now! I am active in a national on-line group called Loves Many cloths, which started as a dishcloth outreach, and now our members knit, crochet and donate just about anything you can think of. There is always a need. I'm also on Ravelry and Pinterest searching for that next new project.
