Mom taught me the basics of knitting when I was 13, along with how to understand the directions. Those lessons are still with me today. I knit for my own enjoyment but to also increase my knitting knowledge. When I am looking for a new project, I just pick up a knitting book or magazine and there is always one that I have not made. This winter I look forward to learning crochet and making some of the patterns I have for that craft.
