I got started quilting when I was expecting my son 24 years ago. I learned to piece and quilt by hand from a staunch believer that by hand is the way. I have found it to be very relaxing and precise. Now that I am using a sewing machine to piece and hopefully to quilt as well, I'm finding it a bit of a challenge to get the precision that I can get by hand. I also love to knit (my mother taught me when I was 10 years old) and do cross-stitch.
