I started sewing at age 10 when I took a summer class on how to make a shift. My mother was an avid seamstress, and I think it must be genetic. I sewed quite a few of my clothes in high school, and then when my daughter was young - I sewed for her. My machine went into hibernation for almost 15 years before I finally took it out, dusted it off, and began sewing again. I get a great deal of comfort when I open the door to my sewing room and step inside.
