My mother taught me at the age of 11-12 yrs to both knit and crochet. Don't do much knitting or crochet these days. Unless I need a quick gift and sometimes I sell the end product when I'm asked but I really prefer to give them away as a sign of love and friendship.
My real love now is quilting. I have just been quilting for 3 years now, however I still consider myself a beginner. I have made a few quilts to which I have made some mistakes in and I am trying to make a quilt that I am truly happy with. To the naked and untrained eye my quilts are okay. But to the trained eye sometimes my mistakes standoout!
I am currently making two quilts at this time, they are my Craftsy BOM and a quilt for a friend. So I am very busy as it consumes most of my life. One important lesson I have learnt is that I prefer quality of a fabric over the cost. Although there are some bargains you just can't go pass. They still have to be quality fabrics. You all know what I am talking about. Hope you all have fun quilting here just as I am. Regards Julieannabell.
