I've always described myself as a "dabbler". I guess the new term is "omni-crafter". The first fascination with sewing was when my mom made a pencil case at the last minute out of a zipper and some canvas. I was impressed and only 5 or 6. My Grandma D was a sewist and a baker. Girl Scouts allowed me to try hand sewing, embroidery stitches, baking, painting, collage. I loved drawing in school and was very proud to have one of my drawings selected to hang at a school event in 6th grade (I ignored the fact that all the other kids had their art hanging as well). I discovered scrapbooking in the 70's & still have my HS scrapbooks. Then, 1995 brought machine embroidery and I made myself learn computers. Currently, I still sew, embroidery and scrap, but have also taken up quilting and my most recent passion, jewelry making! I am also going to finally learn how to fit a muslin in The Couture Dress class via Craftsy!
