That was about five years ago. At the same time Vickie Howell had a knitting show named Knitty Gritty and I received much encouragement from her by watching this show. I am constantly knitting while we watch Texas Ranger Baseball or just for enjoyment. A very dear relative contracted cancer and I immediately started knitting all kinds of hats for her because in chemo she was going to lose her hair. I've knitted hundreds and given away most of them to those I care deeply about. ` When I was a child my Grandmother taught me how to sew. In 2003 I earned an heirloom teaching license from Martha Pullen Bernina School in Huntsville, Alabama. I love to make delicate heirloom garments and children's clothes as well. Keeping my hands busy is a must in my life.
