Somewhere along the line, I changed my mind. I made clothes for my babies from Mom's scrap box and years later made a few baby quilts for friends (I just winged it with coloring books for applique designs). In 2002, I made a temporary (3 and a half years) move to Southeast Alaska , I got involved in a quilting club and the quilting bug really bit me. After that 3 and a half years, we moved back home and I took retirement--from my "career" to my sewing machine. If I am unable to sew for a few days, I actually suffer withdrawal woes.
