Needing new challenges, along with first baby (what was I thinking?), I made a full length wool coat in a tailoring class. Later, my 98 year old grandmother taught me the basics of quilting. That was in the '80s. The quilting bug, and fabric-collecting bug grabbed hold later, in 2010. Art quilting and modern quilt making are current interests mainly because I enjoy the challenges of designing my own patterns. Free motion quilting is also enjoyable for the same reason.
