I've been sewing since I was 6 years old. I started making doll clothes, then clothes for myself and, eventually clothes for my children and home decor items. in 2000, I saw a woman and her daughter hand quilting a quilt and thought to myself, I can do that. I bought a book and some basic supplies, but as a single mom to four children, I simply did not have the time to learn. Eight years later, after I had remarried, my husband encouraged me to dust off the supplies and jump in. I found that I love it, even though I have a lot to learn. A day without quilting feels incomplete to me. I enjoy the learning and the creative process the most, even with the little oopsies along the way.
