I retired about three years ago and was seeking a creative outlet. While shopping one day, I happened upon a quilt shop. So I went in and the magic began. I was entranced by all of the rows of pretty fabric. It was like being in a candy store-- but better, because there were no calories involved. I signed up for the beginning quilting class, and then the beyond beginning quilting class, etc. Needless to say, there is so much to learn and so much information to be found. Love, love, love all of the quilting and sewing blogs! Who knew "You Tube" had more available than wannabe singers and stupid people videos!
I am enjoying the Craftsy classes. The format is perfect because I can continually return to a class and watch as often as I want. I also like that I can attend an online class taught by well-respected individuals in the quilting and sewing fields.
Happy quilting!
