Always had a need to keep my hands busy. Started sewing my own clothes in middle school. Was inspired by Joyce Wilcox (my high school sweetheart's mom) and her amazing quilting ability.
Also have dabbled in latch hook, cross stitch, knitting, woodwork, crewel, etc. Quilting and working with fabric seemed to 'stick'. Partner/owner of 'Priscilla's Quilts' in Petaluma, CA in the early/mid 1970s. Contributed many quilts for public school fundraising, Piedmont Children's Choir fundraising, Stumps R Us (amputee support group) fundraising to name a few.
Have shown my work at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Gallery in New Orleans. Member of WCA (but not actively participating at this point). Member of the Beecher Quilt Group our of New Orleans; current member of the Clearwater Quilt Guild.
Selling fabric items (quilts, wallhangings, messenger bags, fabric bowls, wallets, etc.) at Gentle Event, downtown Orofino, ID as well as Dahman Artisan Barn, Uniontown, WA.
Experimenting with abstract art interpreted into fabric and recycling packaging into usable items (purses and messenger bags). Having fun with many different types of 'fiber'.
