My grandmother taught me to knit when I was 8. I finished a few projects and put the needles down. In junior high and high school, I learned to sew and crochet. Again, life kicked in and finally, 25 years later as my one and only was heading off to basic trainig, I knew I needed something more than work and homelife to keep my mind busy. I pulled my knitting needles out, took some lessons and knitted away. While my son was in Afghanistan and we had "news black-out" at our home, I focussed on knitting. I managed to make it through his deployment without losing my sanity!
