I learned to quilt from a friend. During my February break one year, she taught me to quilt. My very first project was the Tinkerbell quilt, which I made for my sister for her birthday. We worked all week on that quilt. She even taught me how to free motion stitch. It took us 2 days, working together, just to stitch Tinkerbell into the quilt. It was worth it in the end. From when we went to the store, spending hours trying to pick just the right fabrics, to piecing all the fabrics together, to stitching Tinkerbell in, I enjoyed every minute and became hooked on quilting.
