As a child I taught myself origami, dreamcatcher weaving, macrame, and embroidery. In college, it was B&W darkroom photography. Later, I picked up crochet, knitting, wool dyeing, spinning and floor-loom weaving. A flare-up of tendinitis in my wrist and thumb caused from overuse in spinning and knitting, combined with a lack of space to assemble my loom in my current house led to a major creative drought.
